I’m back!!!! <3 Did ya miss me?
Over the past few weeks, I made a decision that I didn't originally plan for but knew deep down I needed: I decided to take a break from Fashion Fille.
Not just from writing — but from the platform as a whole. From the deadlines, the content planning, the creative pressure (even when it was self-imposed). At first, it felt strange. Fashion Fille is something I’m incredibly proud of, and I love being able to share my passion for fashion, creativity, and storytelling through it. But lately, when I sat down to brainstorm, post, or write, something felt... off. I wasn’t approaching it with the same spark. Instead of feeling inspired, I felt drained — like I was showing up out of habit, not excitement.
So I gave myself permission to pause. To step back. To not force it.
And honestly? It was one of the best things I could have done for myself and for Fashion Fille.
When you pour so much of yourself into something you love, it’s easy to forget that you need space to refill your creative well. Taking a break gave me exactly that: space. Space to rest, to reflect, to dream without immediately having to turn every thought into a post or project. It reminded me why I started Fashion Fille in the first place — to create a space that feels exciting, inspiring, and real. And I realized that in order to keep that spirit alive, I needed to honor the natural rhythms of creativity: bursts of energy, yes, but also moments of stillness.
During my time away, new ideas started bubbling up. Not because I was sitting down demanding them, but because I finally let my mind breathe. I thought about new ways to grow Fashion Fille, fresh topics I’m excited to explore, and projects I can't wait to bring to life. The break wasn't about quitting — it was about reconnecting.
If you’re feeling burnt out on something you love — whether it’s a creative project, a passion, or even just a part of your routine — I hope you give yourself the same grace. Taking a break isn’t giving up. It’s taking care of your creativity so it can continue to grow. Sometimes, the most productive thing you can do is step back, rest, and let inspiration come to you naturally.
Now, as I return to Fashion Fille, I feel reenergized, refocused, and more excited than ever for what’s next.
Because sometimes, the best ideas (and the best versions of ourselves) come after we finally give ourselves permission to pause. We got this, <3
