Fashion Fille Flashback: 2024 in Reflection
A Year of Growth, Gratitude, and Milestones
As 2024 comes to a close, I can’t help but feel overwhelmed with gratitude for everything this year has brought into my life. It’s been one of the hardest years I’ve ever faced, but it’s also been a year of tremendous growth, new opportunities, and unforgettable moments. They say you can’t succeed without taking the time to grow, and this year has shown me just how true that is.
Before I dive into what’s next, I wanted to pause and truly celebrate the accomplishments of 2024. This year has been transformative in so many ways, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible support of those around me. You’ve all played such an important role in this journey. Your encouragement, guidance, and belief in me kept me going through the tough times and made the victories even sweeter. So, as I reflect on everything this year has taught me, I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your support has meant the world to me, and I’m so grateful to have you by my side.
Fashion Fille In All Its Forms
The highlight of my year has been launching Fashion Fille, a dream that started as a creative platform to share my voice with the world. Writing weekly articles has allowed me to express my passion for fashion in a way that feels personal and fulfilling. It’s been amazing to see how this platform has resonated with others, and it’s even grown into a weekly email newsletter—a space to connect on an even deeper level.
Building Fashion Fille’s Instagram has been another exciting chapter. Through it, I’ve started building a portfolio of fashion-related social media content, which has been both a creative outlet and a professional stepping stone. Watching this platform take shape has made me proud of the work I’ve put in, and it’s been so rewarding to see it grow.
This year, I also had the honor of being interviewed by VoyageDenver, BoldJourney, and soon, CanvasRebel about my journey with Fashion Fille. Sharing my story with these publications felt surreal—it’s a moment I’ll carry with me forever. None of this would have been possible without the love and encouragement from the amazing community I’ve built through Fashion Fille.
In addition to being a blog, newsletter, and Instagram page, Fashion Fille has become my independent fashion marketing consulting firm. This endeavor has opened the door to exciting and rewarding projects, like serving as the volunteer coordinator for the Paper Fashion Show, a role I had long admired from afar. Stepping into a leadership position for this renowned show was both a challenge and a privilege, allowing me to work with a talented team and contribute to its success.
Another highlight was my role as the marketing director for the third season of the Glowin' and Growin' Show, where I helped bring their vibrant festival vision to life. From crafting promotional strategies to creating a cohesive brand presence, it was incredible to see everything come together.
Working with The Denver Ginger added yet another layer to my experience this year. What began as a fashion assistant role quickly evolved into becoming the assistant to the designer, giving me a firsthand look at the creative process and deepening my understanding of the industry.
Finally, I continued my work with Edie Styles, a brand that has become so special to me. While managing social media remains a core part of my role, I’ve expanded into writing blogs to elevate their online presence and working as a virtual stylist, helping clients feel confident and inspired through their style.
Milestones & New Beginnings
All of these experiences built the foundation for what became the most pivotal moment of 2024—landing my first full-time job in the fashion industry as a Sample Coordinator/Studio Assistant. This role is more than just a title; it represents years of dreaming, planning, and putting in the hard work to make my aspirations a reality. From honing my skills to building connections and saying yes to opportunities that stretched me, every step has led me here.
Walking into this new chapter feels incredible. It’s not just about securing the job but about knowing I’ve finally broken into an industry I’m passionate about and am on a path that aligns with my goals.
On top of everything else, I began pursuing a certificate in Fashion Business from Parsons School of Design, a program that is already providing me with valuable tools and knowledge to thrive in the industry. The decision to go back to school wasn’t an easy one—it required balancing my career, consulting work, and personal life—but I know it’s an investment in my future. By the time I complete the program in October 2025, I’ll have gained insights and skills that will help me grow even further.
None of these accomplishments would have been possible without the support of the amazing people in my life. To every person who has cheered me on, offered advice, or simply been there to listen—thank you. Your belief in me has been my anchor during the tough moments, and your unwavering encouragement has made every success feel that much more meaningful.
2024 has truly been a year of transformation—a reminder that the hardest years can also be the most rewarding. The challenges I faced shaped me, and the victories proved that persistence and passion can lead to incredible opportunities. I’m proud of how far I’ve come, but more than that, I’m excited about where this journey will lead next.
As I look to 2025, I’m filled with hope, determination, and a deep sense of gratitude for everyone who’s been part of this path with me.
